NOVEMBER
- Focus on academics
- Explore and get
involved in volunteer opportunities
DECEMBER
- PSAT scores mailed
- Keep up with your
reading for the SAT next year. The more you read, the higher your
verbal score is likely to be.
JANUARY
- Using your PSAT
scores, begin researching colleges through listed Web sites.
FEBRUARY
- Consider a summer
program.
- Continue with
volunteer work, club activities, or a part-time job.
- Plan your 11th
grade course selection. If you have questions, contact the college
counselor or academic dean.
MARCH
- Begin visits to
nearby colleges, possibly during spring break.
- ERB testing
APRIL
- Register for
May/June SAT IIs. Ask your current teacher for more information.
MAY
JUNE
- SAT II
- Plan visits to
colleges over the summer. Keep a log.
