ACADEMICS

  • One student earned a perfect score on the 2015 National Greek Exam
  • Thirty students placed in the 95th percentile in the nation on the National Latin Exam
  • Nearly 50-percent of the class of 2016 earned some form of AP scholar recognition, with four seniors earning the National AP Scholar designation
  • Eighteen students placed above the 85th percentile in the nation on the 2016 National Spanish exam
  • Eighteen students qualified for the State History Day competition, with two exhibits placing third at state
  • Our Science Bowl team placed first in their division at the region tournament

FINE ARTS

  • First place at state for the debate team
  • Second place at region and state for the one-act play
  • First place at region for the literary team
  • One student won a regional gold key for Scholastics Art and Writing awards
  • The choral department participated in a Disney workshop (Middle School) and a choral tour of Germany (Upper School)
  • More than one third of Middle and Upper School students are involved in a fine art beyond the regular curriculum requirements
  • Five students made All-State Chorus and five made All-State Reading Chorus

ATHLETICS

  • First place at state for varsity boys soccer for the fourth consecutive year
  • First place at state for varsity boys cross country in one individual category
  • Second place at state for varsity girls cross-country
  • First place at state for the varsity girls tennis team and singles
  • First place at state for varsity boys swimming in three individual categories
  • Second place at state for varsity girls swimming
  • First place at region for boys track in two individual categories
  • First place at region for girls track in two individual categories
  • Coaches Mike Freace and Leisa Tebbs received GISA Coach of the Year awards
  • Four members of the Class of 2016 committed to play collegiate athletics
