Weekly Athletics Update

Letter from the Athletic Director

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” — Colossians 3:17

Westminster Schools of Augusta fields 16 varsity interscholastic sport teams, including, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, track and field, cross country, baseball, golf, swimming and cheerleading. It is the goal of our Athletics Department to impact our students and our community for God’s kingdom through the pursuit of excellence in the athletic arena.

The athletic program at Westminster is designed to provide opportunities for competitive athletics while enriching the total educational experience of each student-athlete and of students in general. From the Lower School to the Upper School, opportunities are available for boys and girls to reach their potential through performance and to further their experiences in teamwork, physical well-being and positive citizenship. We take pride in the fact that 74 percent of our Middle and Upper School students participate in at least one sport.

In addition to these interscholastic opportunities, Westminster offers after school athletic programs for Lower School students through our Sports Academy. To read more about our teams, schedules, coaches, student-athletes, and sports news, click on the Sports Teams link located on the left side of this page. We are excited about all that is going on at our school, our athletic program and with our Booster Club. If you have questions concerning our athletic department, please feel free to contact me at 706-731-7780, ext. 2311 or via email. In addition, please direct any Athletic Booster Club questions to our Presidents Dawn and Pat McCraith.

We appreciate your support of Westminster Athletics as our coaches and student-athletes seek to honor God on and off the playing field.
