Letter from Athletics Booster President

The Athletic Booster Club of Westminster Schools of Augusta functions to glorify Christ in all that we do by:

  • Promoting and supporting the interscholastic and club athletic programs of Westminster Schools, whose mission is “to impact student athletes for God’s kingdom and to impact our community for God’s kingdom through our student athletes”,
  • Facilitating communications regarding athletics,
  • Fostering school spirit among the entire Westminster community including current students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff,
  • Providing financial support for the athletic program, particularly but not limited to the area of capital improvements.

The Booster Club is lead by the Booster Club Council, which is comprised of the offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator, Concessions Coordinator, Publicity Coordinator, Spirit Wear Coordinator, Special Events Assistant, and Sports Representatives from each of the sports currently offered at Westminster. The Council meets monthly to discuss and plan community events and fundraisers to benefit the Athletic Department of Westminster.

Booster Club membership is available to and encouraged for all Westminster parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends. Even families with children too young to participate in interscholastic athletics can join now to strengthen the program that awaits those children in the future. As a benefit of membership, admission is free for Booster Club members to all home athletic events. Membership forms for the 2011-2012 school year will be available on the website beginning in August.

As the parents of three Westminster students, we have been members of the Westminster community for 12 years and have enjoyed Westminster athletics for many of those years. It is with great enthusiasm that we anticipate a great year serving through the Booster Club. We are honored by the opportunity to contribute in this way.
