Second Graders Get Presidential
On Thursday, February 16th, the second graders celebrated “President’s Day” by reading excerpts from past presidential speeches.
Each student had practiced reading their speech at home with their parents for two weeks. They were not to memorize it, but to work on reading it with fluency and expression. On Thursday, they came to school dressed like their president. The students entertained each other and their teachers with their presentations. It was a wonderful day in second grade!
