Westminster Fund

Westminster Fund First

Tuition dollars do not cover the total cost of a student’s tuition.

The Westminster Fund is an annual appeal to support the school’s current-year operating expenses.

Every student benefits from your tax-deductible gifts to the annual Westminster Fund.

To ensure our success and meet our yearly budget, we stress participation in the Westminster Fund first to support annual budgetary program needs. These gifts make an immediate impact on our students. We then welcome additional gifts as possible to benefit capital needs, endowments and special projects.

Every member of the Westminster community is asked every year to support the Westminster Fund.

How much of a difference can my gift really make?

The Westminster community has many fewer supporters than a university or large nonprofit organization. Because the number who will give is small, but the need is large, every gift counts more. This reasoning leads many families to make their children’s school their philanthropic priority.

How is my Westminster Fund gift spent?

Westminster Fund dollars are spent during the current school year for the annual operation of the school. The cost to run Westminster each school day is $40,000. Your gifts help to fund enhancements that aid instruction, such as technology and professional development for teachers, as well as pay for teacher salaries, electric bills, science equipment and books…all things needed for the daily operation of our school. These tax-deductible donations enable Westminster to fulfill its mission by investing in people who in turn are investing in the lives of our students.

Is it important for me to participate in the Westminster Fund even if I am not able to make a large donation?

Absolutely! In fact, we stress participation just as much as the amount to the Westminster Fund. Our desire is for gifts of equal sacrifice, not equal amounts. Last year, gifts between $5 and $100 totaled over $10,000, so every gift does count. Your gift shows confidence in Westminster and its mission. As we seek gifts from outside corporations and foundations, they look for this show of support. Don’t miss out on the blessing of giving.
