Help Complete the Cross Country Trail

Volunteers are needed on a scheduled work day to complete the Cross Country trail on  Saturday, August 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Along with volunteers, we also need tools to facilitate the work such as wheelbarrows, weed-eaters, axes, pruners, rakes, gloves, etc. Anyone who comes should also bring bug spray as the bugs are “thick in the thicket”.

Ryan Bowers has been named Westminster Schools of Augusta’s Interim Football Coach for the 2010 season.

Ryan comes with a high level of playing experience, including the Atlanta Falcons, NFL Europe and Arena Football League.  He has had previous coaching stints at Greenbrier High School and Augusta Christian School and is a graduate of Presbyterian College, where he was captain of the football team.

He currently owns and runs Athelite, a small business that focuses on physical training for the elite athlete. We are excited about his strong testimony and ability to lead our young student-athletes both on the field and in dealing with God's will for their life. We are thankful that God has provided this excellent leader for our program.

Field Extension Project

In late May the field extension project at the soccer/football field will begin. We are adding 10 yards to the current, 90-yard soccer field in order to use it for football in the fall. Preparation work will take place, including moving of portables and electric. The faculty, staff, and board of trustees are all excited about this project and the improvement it will bring to our campus and programs.

The major work is scheduled to begin on May 27. At this time, some heavy equipment will be present, with the parking lot serving as a staging area for the project.

Check the Westminster Facebook page and Flickr page over the summer for time elapsed photos of this campus improvement. Go Wildcat Football and Soccer!
