The Junior Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at Westminster Schools of Augusta provides opportunities for students entering grades 8-12 to develop their leadership skills. Participation in our CIT program can be for at least one and up to all six weeks of the summer program. All students interested must apply with our Summer Programs department. CITs work as a team, in small groups, and individually to learn about organizing activities and instructing children in a summer camp environment.
Mandatory training will be provided for all accepted applicants on May 17 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Note that there are a limited number of CIT spaces available, and only a select number will be hired.
This program is an unpaid internship, however reference letters will be readily provided as requested. Applications are due by May 4, and a response will provided by email to all applicants by May 11.
